Round Eyes

From Anh:

In the "round eyes" the author mentions about the single eyes which we often see
in Asian people , because they want to adapt with white people so they try to
make it become double eyes. In my opinion , I love both single and double eyes.
Each of them have their own beauty. I love the way I look for being Asian. How
about you? How do you think about the eyes and the way Asian look?

  1. I honestly think that we are all beautiful no matter which eyelids we have. Some asians have double and others have single. We are all different and unique. Not all Asians have single eyelids because I don't.

  2. Tell you the truth I really don't notice either or... because of make up and stuff, But I prefer the double eye lid.

  3. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. In my own point of view regardless of one eye or two eyes the most important thing is who you are, and the character that you posess and how will you carry yourself. Just be yourself and for that you are unique in any way.

  4. even though i say i am agree with you that they both are beautiful in a different ways, but i think since i am in love with the Japanese fashion, the girls are more likely to make their eyes bigger and rounder, as to make a very large dolly eye. I like that not because of the white people's double eye lid big eye styel, but the unique Japanese Asian new tend, its for ASIANS ONLY :D
The Asian eyes are like all the other eyes, it made for you to see/look, as long as it function well, it should not be an excause to be dislike, we are all the same, but some people perfere the "rounded eye" because they want to have a more "white people" look, i hope they follow their heart to protray their image to what they want, but not the society wants.

  5. I think the one eyelid trait brings out as much beauty as double eyelids. I really don't notice eyelids too much, but I think it is a quality that sets people apart and makes them unique.

  6. I think it really doesn't matter what eyelid or what you look like. When I was in Japan a lot of people noticed that I had double eyelids, double eyelids supposedly makes your eyes look bigger. I never noticed that about myself until people commented on it. But it was weird because in America no one ever commented on my eyelids before. So I thought it was kind of like a Asian thing and people in the U.S. probably focus on other body parts, like out teeth or bottoms.

  7. I have many Korean friends, so I'm very familiar with Korean culture. In Korea, having plastic surgery is something normal, it's almost like a trend to go under the knife. From what I know, getting plastic surgery to make double eyelids in order for your eyes to look rounder and bigger is just basic in Korean culture. It's not something that people would look down upon you if you did. I have a Korean friend that recently got her eyes done. Before she had small eyes, which I thought was cute and fitted her face and personality so well. However, she got the double eyelids surgery, she look awkward, her eyes were definitely not natural looking and she couldn't fully close her eyes normally anymore. We're still good friends but I just miss her old look because I think natural beauty is always the best.
personally think that natural face is the most beautiful.

  8. I actually don't see the difference! I'm currently sitting next to my Asian father and I don't see how his eyes look different then my caucasian mother's eyes.

But I find it so sad that people don't accept what is uniquely theirs-because that's what makes them special and beautiful. This issue goes far past eyelid surgery to the very depth of personal accptance. Talking to people who think having an extra fold of skin above their eye will make them beautiful is so tragic. Why would you want to deny your culture and ethnicity anyway? It's something that should be celebrated!

  10. I realized that I usually found an interest in women who had big and double eyes; I have quite a small and narrow eyes, which I dont like; a lot of american guys, I heard, they like girls whose eyes are small and non-double eyes. I think it varies person to person

  11. Some people may make fun of how Asian eyes looks like but to me I think it's unique. It doesn't matter how we look because everyone needs to be identified in a way. Nose, lips, eyelids, skin etc. I actually like to be identified as being chinky and I wouldn't be offended because I'm proud of being an Asian.

  12. I am proud of being Filipino, but I would prefer having a double eyelid look only because I don't like having my "unequal" sized eyelids, one being double, and the other not being a double eyelid. However, the eyelids shouldn't be the biggest concern, as a many people of the opposite look beyond the appearance, since personality stands the test of time and lasts longer than someone's "attractive" appearance of the younger days. When a married couple are old together, the personality will still shine through the layers of wrinkled skin.
